If you’re going to be a team that succeeds you must forget some things. Chief among them are patterns of thought prevalent in teams that never elevate their game.
Here are the 3 things teams must forget to succeed:
- Who came up with the breakthrough idea. (We did.)
- Why we keep screwing up. (Old narratives aren’t always useful narratives.)
- The fact that we lack resources. (A constant focus on what we don’t have stymies our ability to leverage what we do have.)
What does your team need to forget and move beyond? Memories get repeated until we decide they don’t make us better. Somethings are just better to forget.
